Montrose Auction is going green!

In consideration of our Mother Earth and the 'going green' initiative, Montrose Auction plans to continue our own green efforts by reducing our printings and mailings.

Since January 2009, we have ceased mailing more than 1000 postcards each month for our Tuesday Night Auctions. In addition, we have reduced the number of mailings for our First Friday Antique Auctions and focus on mailing notices about our specialty auctions that are outside our regular auction schedule.

Fort Sumter Flag

We recently acquired a unique and historical item originating from the beginning of the Civil War.  Presented to “Peter Hart the flag of Fort Sumter. Piece of the Frt. Sumter flag staff & piece of the Frt. Sumter flag – presented by Robert Anderson Br. Gen. USA” This autographed page is torn from a gold leaf book with other signatures on three of the four pages.
